Tranicia Acoff’s passion for hair began early. As a child, she styled her dolls' hair until she ran out of ideas—then gave them haircuts as a playful hint to her mother for a new one. By the age of 12, Tranicia had moved on to styling her younger sister's hair, and soon after, her mother’s and classmates’ hair as well.

After graduating high school with honors, Tranicia earned a full academic scholarship to The Ohio State University. Even in college, she never let go of her dream—becoming the go-to stylist in her dorm. But graduating during the 2009 recession pushed her to pursue her passion full-time. In 2011, she enrolled in cosmetology school and graduated in August 2012, launching her professional hair career with full force.

In just four years, she built a thriving clientele and moved back to Columbus, Ohio, where she had seen potential during her college years. Within 15 months, she opened her first salon—TS Salon—which quickly flourished, adding two stylists and nearly filling all available booths. But when the pandemic hit, Tranicia took time to reflect and reimagine her brand. That moment of clarity sparked the creation of Cut & Blow Beauty Bar.

Focusing on her signature styles—pixie cuts and blowouts—Tranicia rebranded, sold her original salon, and opened a new location under her visionary brand. Over the past five years, Cut & Blow Beauty Bar has become a staple in Columbus, known for excellence, precision, and healthy hair care.
